Lastly, most of the additives are kept in stock whilst other specialized products can be ordered and delivered within short notice.

Glycols

Ethylene glycol is an organic compound with the formula (CH₂OH)₂. It is mainly used for two purposes, as a raw material in the manufacture of polyester fibres and for antifreeze formulations. It is an odourless, colourless, sweet-tasting, viscous liquid.

Surfactants

Surfactants are compounds that lower the surface tension between two liquids, between a gas and a liquid, or between a liquid and a solid. Surfactants may act as detergents, wetting agents, emulsifiers, foaming agents, or dispersants.

Scavengers

A scavenger in chemistry is a chemical substance added to a mixture in order to remove or de-activate impurities and unwanted reaction products, for example oxygen, to make sure that they will not cause any unfavourable reactions.

Biocides

A biocide is defined in the European legislation as a chemical substance or microorganism intended to destroy, deter, render harmless, or exert a controlling effect on any harmful organism

Defoamers

A defoamer or an anti-foaming agent is a chemical additive that reduces and hinders the formation of foam in industrial process liquids. The terms anti-foam agent and defoamer are often used interchangeably. Strictly speaking, defoamers eliminate existing foam and anti-foamers prevent the formation of further foam.

Demulsifiers

Demulsifiers, or emulsion breakers, are a class of specialty chemicals used to separate emulsions, for example, water in oil. They are commonly used in the processing of crude oil, which is typically produced along with significant quantities of saline water.

Gas Treating Chemicals

Products formulated especially for gas production and gas transmission including gas well foaming agents, corrosion inhibitors, scale solvents, and hydrogen sulphide scavenging products and Gas well foamers.

Corrosion Inhibitor

A corrosion inhibitor is a chemical compound that, when added to a liquid or gas, decreases the corrosion rate of a material, typically a metal or an alloy, that comes into contact with the fluid. The effectiveness of a corrosion inhibitor depends on fluid composition, quantity of water, and flow regime.

Scale Inhibitors

Oilfield scale inhibition is the process of preventing the formation of scale from blocking or hindering fluid flow through pipelines, valves, and pumps used in oil production and processing. Scale inhibitors are a class of specialty chemicals that are used to slow or prevent scaling in water systems.

Drilling Detergents

Drilling detergent is an aqueous blend of surface-active agents that reduces the surface tension of all water-based drilling fluids and reduces the sticking tendency of water-sensitive shale cuttings..

Friction Reducers

Friction reducers are purposed to help make the hydraulic fracturing fluid slicker – hence the name “slickwater” given to the entire process. Formulations for friction reducer additives usually contain polyacrylamide, a water-soluble polymer that reduces friction and boosts the viscosity of the hydraulic fluid.
